500 g beef shank
30 g ginger
1 shallot
5 g sugar
50 ml fish sauce
30 ml cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation: How to prepare BRAISED BEEF AND GINGER

1. Slice beef into chunks about 2x3x4 cm and place in a pan. Season with fish sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper for 30 minutes.
2. Peel ginger, shallot, and garlic, then slice and mix thoroughly with sliced beef.

Cooking: How to cook BRAISED BEEF AND GINGER

1. Cook beef and vegetable mixture in a pan over medium heat until beef is well marinated. When marinade runs out, add water so that beef is covered and bring to a boil.
2. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 20 minutes. When beef is cooked through, add cooking oil.
3. Continue to braise until beef is tender and water covers about one-third of the beef.
Ladle onto a plate, sprinkle with pepper, and serve hot.
